1 Peter: Lessons on Long-SufferingApril 19, 2020
Whether it is being told we cannot do something or being forced into something we did not choose, our tendency is to complain. “We don’t like this,” “When will this end,” “I can’t take this anymore!” We call it suffering, and rightly so. But suffering can be subjective! Join us as we journey through the first letter of Peter written to early Christ-ones(Christians) who were enduring gross amounts of persecution and suffering at the hand of friends and oppressive governments. What can the early followers of the Risen Christ teach us about how we respond to our modern day pilgrimage of pain? What lessons can we learn from Peter about defeating disconnection, demolishing detachment, and enduring exile? Although not together; together we will overcome!
