Cory Curvin Accompanist
Cory D. Curvin's first public performance was at the age of six with his piano rendition of "I'm A Little Teapot," complete with choreography. A native of Mississippi, he's been a church musician for over thirty years, serving churches as an accompanist, orchestral director and music director throughout Mississippi and North Texas. While his true love is accompanying, Cory also has an interest in technology and how it can be used to enhance communication and worship in churches. In addition to his church work, he has served as a musical director and collaborative pianist in musical theater for twenty-five years, with an undying love for the shows from Broadway's golden age.
During the week, Cory is a music educator and choral director in the area and also maintains an active performance schedule throughout DFW as his schedule allows. His collegiate background is in church music and music education, and he is a member of TMEA, MTNA and AGEHR. When not in the classroom or performing, Cory enjoys local road trips, the autumnal holidays, winter sports and collecting Americana and travel memorabilia.
