Pre-K
Children ages 3—4 enjoy hands
on learning through Bible based lessons and hands on crafts, music
and play each week. These boys and girls enjoy a
wonderful relationship with loving volunteer teachers.
This experience not only helps these children learn that
Jesus loves them, but teaches them to respect and care for each
other. This environment is where Christian
Formation begins.
K—5th Grades
Our elementary age children
are building a Heart of Faith using Cokesbury’s
new Rock Solid Bible-based
curriculum. Rather than just teach children
about God, we strive to inspire them to know God.
Rather than just learning about the Bible, our goal is for
children to learn what faith feels like through being nurtured by
trusted examples of faithful living. Through Rock
Solid, children will personally know God through Jesus Christ and
make the Bible a part of their everyday lives.
Each Sunday children will be invited to have a personal faith
experience with God. Children will come to know
Jesus as the Son of God and take the message to heart, following
where their faith leads them.

Children are a gift from God and
a sacred responsibility. Because the safety of
your child is a priority at FUMC Burleson, we have several
guidelines we would like to make you aware of:
All volunteers and paid staff
working with children at FUMC Burleson have passed a background
check and Safe Sanctuary training.
Make sure that you filled out
the appropriate forms before leaving your child in their class.
Infants—Preschoolers:
Parents or guardian must sign
their student in on a clipboard located at the classroom
entrance. Parents or guardian must also list
their location each hour. Students will remain in
class until parents or guardian come to retrieve them.
